Today I would like to talk about the last four “ghosts of fear”.

The Fear of Ill Health

The mind is a fertile place where a small seed of thought can grow into fear, if we let it.

Too much time spent feeding this fear can actually manifest itself into that which we fear.

The Fear of Loss of Love

Affairs of the heart can make or break a person.

The pains (and the joys) reach to both extremes.

Symptoms of this fear include jealousy and fault finding.

The Fear of Old Age

We need to look at the root causes of this fear.

Perhaps we fear living in poverty in our golden years.

Maybe we fear age related disability or illness that may forfeit our independence.

The Fear of Death

I believe this is a fear of the unknown.

Is there anything after death … heaven … hell?

Fear has its place in our survival, but this is not that place.

Death is one of those things in life that is inevitable. Fearing it and worrying about it will not change the inevitability of it.

Whether death is a transition to something else or merely a final end to everything, we do not know. So why spend time and energy on the unknown?

The next of the six basic fears is The Fear Of Criticism. Let’s have a closer look …

THE FEAR OF CRITICISM

I find this fear particularly interesting. At some point in our history we evolved into creatures who take to heart the criticisms of others!

Think about it for just a few minutes and you will see many examples of this fear in action.

Every season clothing manufacturers change styles. There is nothing necessarily wrong with the current style, but how would they sell any product if things were the same from year to year. So they change styles to stay in business. We have all been trained over the years to think that we must keep up with the latest styles if we want others the think that we are affluent and in touch with the times, so we buy the newest styles to remain current in our fashion and avoid possible criticism from our peers.

Often times it is those closest to us that provide the majority of the criticism we face. The more time spent with people, the more they feel they have the right to criticize. I do not believe that it is necessarily meant to be mean, but rather to help, though it does not come across that way many times.

Parents, in their efforts to protect their child, may say things like “what a stupid thing to do.” They do not mean to call their child stupid, just the action is stupid, but this is not how it is perceived by the child.

The better approach it not to criticize, but rather to suggest constructively.

Some symptoms of the fear of criticism are: self-consciousness, lack of poise, inferiority complex, extravagance, lack of initiative, and lack of ambition.

Last time I introduced the six ghosts of fear.

Today I’d like to go into a little more detail.

The first of the six fears is The Fear Of Poverty.

If you have every seen pictures of the great depression and the hard times that those folks lived through, it is quite understandable to fear poverty.  The key is not dwell on it.

If you want riches, you must refuse to accept any circumstance that leads toward poverty, and avoid thoughts that focus on poverty.

The starting point of the path that leads to riches is desire. If your desire for something is strong enough, you will find a way to get what you want.

Determine exactly what you desire and then make a plan to get it. Once your plans are established, it is time to get started. Never wait until you think your plan is perfect. Things will likely change along the way and you will have to update your plans anyway.

The best plan in the world is of little value until you take action.

If you never start, or stop before you finish, no one will be to blame, but you.

This is where the right state of mind is important. A state of mind is something that you assume, it cannot be purchased, it must be created.

The fear of poverty paralyzes reason, destroys imagination, kills self-reliance, undermines enthusiasm, discourages initiative, leads to uncertainty of purpose, encourages procrastination, wipes out enthusiasm and makes self-control impossible.

It takes the charm from one’s personality, destroys the possibility of accurate thinking, diverts concentration of effort, it masters persistence, turns the will-power into nothingness, destroys ambition, beclouds the memory and invites failure in every conceivable form; it kills love and assassinates the finer emotions of the heart, discourages friendship and invites disaster in a hundred forms, leads to sleeplessness, misery and unhappiness.

The Fear of Poverty is, undoubtedly, the most destructive of the six basic fears.

Sadly, people are often viewed as having less worth if they have no money, but put some money in their bank account and people find respect!

The symptoms of the fear of poverty are: indifference (which appears as a lack of ambition), indecision, doubt, worry, over-caution, and procrastination.

The worst thing we can do is make plans assuming we will fail, expecting poverty instead of demanding riches.

If success in wealth creation and management is what you seek, your mind must be prepared to receive it.

Preparation involves the study, analysis, and understanding of indecision, doubt, and fear.

Indecision produces doubt and the two blend and become fear.  We are not even aware of it when this is happening.

The sixth sense will never function while any one of these three negatives remains in your mind

Fear is an amazingly powerful emotion and it can rob you of many joys in life.

We must determine the cause and the cure of the six basic fears if we hope to conquer them.

Every human suffers from at least one of these fears throughout their lifetime. In the order of their most common appearance, they are:

• Poverty
• Criticism
• Ill health
• Loss of love of someone
• Old age
• Death

Fears are nothing more than states of mind. And since one’s state of mind is subject to control and direction, we can control these fears as well.

Everything that man creates begins with a thought. These thought impulses, whether conscious or subconscious, begin immediately to translate themselves into their physical equivalent.

This will help to explain why some people appear to be “lucky” while others of equal or greater ability, training, experience, and brain capacity, seem destined to misfortune. This fact may be explained by the statement that every human being has the ability to completely control his own mind, and with this control every person may open his mind or close it and admit only thought impulses of his own choice.

We humans have absolute control over one thing, and that is our thoughts. This fact, in addition to the fact that everything which man creates begins in the form of a thought, approaches the principle to master our fears.

Next time we’ll dig a little deeper into each of these six basic fears.

In these tough economic times, wealth creation and management is on the minds of many. Let’s have a look at the inner workings of the brain to learn how we can assist in the achievement of our goals.

The human brain has been described as the broadcasting and receiving station for thought.

When stimulated to a high rate of vibration, the mind becomes more receptive to the vibrations of thought which reach it.

It is through positive and negative emotions that all thoughts are transmitted to the brain.

We have talked about the subconscious mind and creative imagination in past posts. They factor in again when we talk about the brain as a broadcasting/receiving station for thought.

The subconscious mind is the sending station of the brain, through which vibrations of thought are broadcast, while the creative imagination is the receiving set.

The entire process begins with desire. Through strong desire for wealth management, we rely on the three principles of creative imagination, auto-suggestion, and our subconscious mind to achieve our financial goals.

Creative imagination makes use of what we know as the Sixth Sense. This is when we receive ideas, thoughts, and plans that flash into our mind. These flashes are often referred to as hunches or inspirations.

Remember, the starting point of all achievement is desire.

The finishing point is the knowledge which leads to understanding of self, others, the Laws of Nature, recognition and understanding of happiness.

Faith is required for us to follow through on our thoughts and ideas on wealth management to their conclusion. We develop faith through autosuggestion, desire and the subconscious mind.

Next time, we will talk about fear. There are six basic fears that are the cause of all discouragement, procrastination, indecision, and the lack of ambition, self-control, and enthusiasm.

Every thought that you have in your objective mind, received through any of the five senses, reaches your subconscious mind, where it is sorted, classified, and filed for future use.

Your subconscious mind does not discriminate, it accepts thoughts whether they are placed there intentionally (usually positive thoughts), or involuntarily (often negative thoughts).

Your subconscious mind will always act first on the dominant thoughts with strong emotion attached.

So, if wealth management is what you seek, but it holds no emotion for you, it will not be acted upon as a priority by your subconscious mind.

Unfortunately for us mere mortals, it is often our negative thoughts that hold the most emotion, and therefore are what the mind focuses on. Continuous thoughts of debt, and fear of financial distress only feed the subconscious with negativity.

Your subconscious mind is working 24/7/365, so you can not expect to control it 100% of the time. However, you can help it in the right direction by voluntarily planting positive thoughts and ideas, to the exclusion of any negative thoughts.

Controlling your thoughts can only be accomplished by forming the habit of doing so.

Remember, your subconscious mind is working 24/7/365, so if you are not feeding it with positive thoughts, it will feed itself with whatever is available.

This day in age, with the many stimuli that you are exposed to, there is a non-ending stream of information reaching your subconscious mind that you are not even aware of!

Your ultimate goal is to shut out negative impulses, and encourage positive ones.  Be sure there is emotional attachment to your positive thoughts so they are at the front of your mind constantly.

The seven major positive emotions (to nurture) are: desire, faith, love, sex, enthusiasm, romance, and hope.

As well, there are seven major negative emotions (to be avoided): fear, jealousy, hatred, revenge, greed, superstition, and anger.

There are many more emotions, both positive and negative, but these are the major ones.

It is important to remember that positive and negative emotions cannot occupy the mind at the same time. Just try to think of any two things at once, not possible.

You must form the habit of positive thoughts with positive emotions attached!

Eventually, positive thoughts will dominate your mind and the negatives will have nowhere to go except somewhere else.

Today I’d like to talk about sex and how it can help your direct sales marketing.

The desire for sexual expression is inborn and natural.

I’m reminded of a Seinfeld episode in which George Costanza (Jason Alexander) has sworn off sex.  In doing so, he discovers his inner, previously hidden, talents.  He finds that he can do no wrong, and his life is turning around, something he only dreamed of in the past.

That brings us to today’s discussion which is sex transmutation.

Transmutation is the act of taking a negative or destructive idea or action, and turning it into a positive one, something that is very helpful in direct sales.

When any negative emotion comes into your mind, you can transmute it into a positive or constructive emotion, simply by changing your thoughts.

We have been talking a lot about the power of our minds, and this is yet another example.

The mind is an amazing thing.  It has great influence over our lives, whether we like it or not.

Often we think ahead to a coming event and imagine how it will be.  These thoughts can be negative, imaging the worst that could happen, even though the event has not arrived yet.

Sex is one of, if not the most, powerful of all human desires.

Now imagine if you could harness that power and use it to achieve your goals in life!

You would be unstoppable.

Like so many other things in life, this takes willpower.

The mind is a creature of habit.  What you concentrate on is what dominates your thoughts. So logically, you want to concentrate on positive, uplifting, beneficial things to create success in your life.

So like George, we too can discover our inner talents, and create the life we desire, if we are willing to change our thoughts for the better.

It is said that you are most like the five people you spend the majority of your time with.

If your closest friends are TV junkies, you probably are as well.

However, if your closest friends are successful, ambitious business people, you probably are too.

We are attracted to people with whom we have things in common.

Keeping this in mind, how can this information help us in our goal of increasing our wealth?

Let’s start at the beginning … in order to be successful, you need a plan (please don’t count on winning the lottery), and plans are useless unless you take action on them.

You’ve heard the expression ‘two heads are better than one.’

This is the essence of a mastermind group.

Simply put, a mastermind is a group of people, working together, sharing their knowledge and expertise, making said knowledge available to all who are in the group.

Look at the people you associate with and see if you can put together a mastermind group of your own.

Now, if you take all the knowledge and expertise of the mastermind you will come up with plans that you would not have thought of on your own.

Here is another expression you have heard before ‘knowledge is power.’

Actually, knowledge is converted to power by organizing it into plans that lead to action.

So, get your mastermind group together, set a goal, make plans and take action. You will be surprised at what you can accomplish!

Today we are living in the beginning of a whole new era that is going to reshape the world to a level that we haven’t seen ever since the late 1800′s when the Industrial Revolution began to take hold on Earth . Gin and Tonic

Today’s mini-series will cover the all too simple Gin and Tonic. Well, easy to make but did you know…

A gin and tonic is a highball cocktail made with gin and tonic water poured over ice. It is usually garnished with a slice or wedge of lime or lemon. The amount of gin varies according to taste. Suggested ratios of gin-to-tonic are 1:1, 1:2, 1:3, and 2:3. In some countries, gin and tonic is marketed pre-mixed in single-serving cans.

Let us drift back into time . 

The time 1650, English sailors set off to conquer the world! Two hundred plus sailors compacted on 1 wooden ship. No women, only men sailing the world in one vast fishbowl. Unfortunately England, as well as the rest of Europe, isn’t quite right for growing tropical fruits. Without vitamin C in your daily diet you can, amongst other things, develop scurvy.  Scurvy leads to the formation of spots on the skin, spongy gums, and bleeding from the mucous membranes. The spots are most abundant on the thighs and legs, and a person with the ailment looks pale, feels depressed, and is partially immobilized. Scurvy was at one time common among sailors, pirates and others aboard ships at sea longer than perishable fruits and vegetables  could be stored (subsisting instead only on cured and salted meats and dried grains) and by soldiers  similarly separated from these foods for extended periods.

So, you now have 200 plus men on a ship, no women and all scratching themselves like a dog with fleas.  They now steer their ships towards the tropics for none other than limes, which have a very high concentrate of vitamin c.  Into the jungle they go, collecting all the limes they could store. One problem, along with the tropics come mosquitoes.  Some mosquitoes carry malaria!  The British eventually found out that quinine (an ingredient in Tonic Water) was useful for getting rid of the disease. If you have ever tasted real tonic water I’m sure you have found it less than desirable. Drinking tonic water by itself was more of an acquired taste and the British were having a hard time ingesting it.

So, you now have 200 plus men on a ship, no women, all scratching themselves like a dog with fleas, infected with malaria, sucking on limes and drinking tonic water. Great Job they had! One wise British seaman decided that by adding Gin to the tonic it would help smooth it out and make it more potable.

So, you now have 200 plus men on a ship, curing their scurvy (adding the lime juice to the drink), ridding themselves of malaria (drinking the nasty tonic water) and getting drunk due to the gin that was added. And you know what? They probably didn’t care if there were any women on board at this point!

As straightforward as it may seem the Gin and Tonic is anything but easy.

It’s a very simple drink, as is the martini. For that reason, it’s very easy to get wrong.

Because there’s so little that goes into this iconic drink — gin, tonic water, ice and perhaps a bit of lime — what really matters are good elements .

Yet even gin and tonic lovers face an uphill battle to find a good one.  Even when done right, it’s not an easy drink to love — tonic’s slightly bitter quinine taste is a turnoff to sweet-drink lovers.

Atop the list of potential pitfalls is the tonic, a misunderstood beverage if ever there was one, and a potentially devastating blow to a perfect G&T.

The sad part is, it’s screwed up at 90 percent of the bars in America, and you know the reason? Ninety percent of bars in America use soda out of a gun that in no way, shape or form resembles quinine water.

The better bet is tonic from a bottle — preferably one of those single-serving jobs, which preserves freshness. Request it that way if you’re ordering in a bar; the best bars will at least stock club soda and tonic in bottles.

Gin vs. gin
The secret to the gin is the choice of botanicals. All gins have juniper as a flavor base in their distillation, which is what provides those foresty scents. But most use additional flavorings of citrus and spices. Bombay Sapphire has made its reputation on its use of 10 botanicals, from lemon peel to cubeb berries, a Javanese pepper. The mix makes Sapphire’s taste profile spicier than most — though Walker insists it’s the balance of flavors, not the number of them, that is key to its beauty .

If you prefer a more straightforward gin — any London dry such as Beefeater or regular Bombay — to the more aromatic options, which also include Dutch and Plymouth gins, and new options like Tanqueray Ten. Or if you opt for “something snappier” like the original Tanqueray.

The key to the drink’s classic taste is to balance the bitterness of the tonic against the juniper and other flavors in the gin.

As for the rest, choose a tall, slim, chilled highball glass, the freshest limes possible and — no matter how hot the day — solid cubes of the coldest ice you can get. Ratios for tonic to gin vary widely, from equal parts to 2:1. It’s really a matter of taste.

Variations abound, and none are beyond the pale: a sprig of mint, or a dash of Angostura bitters only add additional layers of flavor.  But the humble gin and tonic is a hot-weather drink, best not to be over thought.

Keep it simple a gentle stir and a big ol’ hunk of lime and head for the hammock.

And now the recipe You will need:

1. Some Collin/Highball glasses
2. some lemons
3. ice-cubes
4. Gin
4. Tonic

 
1. Cut a lemon slice and squeeze it into the glass, to get out all its oil and juice and after this put it at the bottom of the glass
2. Full with ice cubes till the edges of the glass
3. Squeeze a half lemon above of the ice cubes. Wait for 30 secs.
4. Fill the 1/3 of the glass with Gin
5. Fill the rest of glass with Tonic
6. Gently stir the mixture with the knife you have cut the lemon
